For over three decades, The Rock at Noonday has been a beacon of hope, providing meals, hygiene services, clothing, and a lifeline to the homeless and hungry in our community. Now, they’re taking a bold step forward with the launch of our Women’s Day Center—a transformative space designed to empower women, including those with children, who are in crisis. The Rock at Noonday Women’s Center will be designed to be a safe haven and resource hub for women experiencing homelessness, trafficking, abuse, or domestic violence. Our mission is to empower women by providing a supportive environment where they can access essential services, find solace, and begin their journey towards healing and independence. The center will serve as a day refuge, offering both immediate assistance and long-term support to help women rebuild their lives. The Women’s Center envisions a community where every woman feels valued, supported, and empowered to overcome adversity. Through collaboration with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers, we aim to create a network of care that addresses the root causes of homelessness and abuse, promoting long-term solutions and sustainable change.
The upcoming Vision Dinner at The Rock at Noonday, scheduled for September 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., is a pivotal event dedicated to sharing our mission and future plans with our community partners, supporters, and stakeholders. This gathering aims to strengthen our collective efforts in serving the homeless and vulnerable populations in Albuquerque, while also showcasing the impact of our programs. We are currently $50,000 short of our fundraising goal, and we hope that through the generosity of our attendees at this dinner, we can meet this target and commence the much-needed renovations in January-February.
We are deeply grateful to Nusenda Credit Union for their generous sponsorship, which plays a crucial role in making this event possible.
